It Drips In | A Poem About Ambiguous Loss, Grief & Emotional Absence
I told myself
it meant nothing
the way you left things
hanging

but my body
kept reacting
like it meant
everything.

There is a kind of grief
that doesn’t arrive
all at once

it drips in
every time
you don’t return.
