Correctly | A Poem About Memory, Loss & Emotional Distance
I don't know when
you stopped being someone I knew
and started being someone
I could only remember correctly
in private.

I still catch you
in the edges of things
in rooms that don’t belong to you
in thoughts I don’t invite
in calm moments
that suddenly feel too loud.
