Held by Distance

It feels like standing
on the edge of a cliff at night,
watching a distant lighthouse blink;
every flash a reminder
that they’re out there,
that they mean something to you,
that they steady you
even without ever pulling you close.

It feels like falling in love
with the shape of someone’s soul.
It’s learning their storms
before you ever feel their rain.

It feels impossible
and yet somehow more real
than every love that came before it.

New Jeanland

Welcome to our cozy little corner of the internet for creativity, gaming, politics, world news, big ideas, strange rabbit holes, and the occasional descent into complete nonsense.

Part community, part creative playground, part ongoing experiment, New Jeanland is a place to make things, learn things, argue about things, and have entirely too many opinions along the way.

Come curious. Stay weird. 🌿
