Wistfulness | A Poem About Longing, Distance & Unspoken Love
The sun dips low, painting the sky in gold.
I'm here, where the shadows grow old.
Your laughter echoes, though you're far away.
A ghost on the wind. A memory that stays.

From a distance, I see your light,
A beacon burning in the night.
I whisper your name to the restless sea,
Hoping the waves will carry it back to me.

But here I stand. Untethered. Alone.
Tender love unspoken, a heart unknown.
