No Visible Ruin | A Poem About Hidden Pain, Loneliness & Emotional Suppression
I take what happened
and sharpen it.

The feelings don't disappear.
They just fold themselves inward,
deeper and deeper,
until they become a kind of
elegant loneliness

I do not punish myself loudly.
There is no spectacle to it.
No collapse, no visible ruin.

I do it the way careful people do:
quietly, precisely,
with intention.
