Vanessa Jordan

She hoped to be wise and reasonable in time; but alas! alas! she must confess to herself that she was not wise yet.

Jane Austen

Vanessa Jordan is an introverted writer who happened to meet Chaia at the right place at the right time to make a good friend.  When their time as co-workers came to an end, they decided that they should continue their collaboration, just in more creative and interesting ways.

She describes herself as a woman drifting through the world with imagination and hope as her guides.  She loves tea, music, reading anything that she can get her hands on, writing books, fantasy, vampires, dragons, and gardens.  If you are looking for her, you will likely find her trying to capture firefly thoughts and moments, only to release them to the world after a brief time in her hands.

In her spare time, Vanessa studies languages (Spanish and Japanese), watches far too much in the way of anime and K-dramas, and works on her creative endeavors which include hand-sewing various items and writing about her original characters.

There is nothing I would not do for those who are really my friends.  I have no notion of loving people by halves, it is not my nature.

  • Hiraeth
The author reflects on experiencing hiraeth, a deep sense of longing for places and moments that evoke a feeling of home, both real and imagined. This sentiment is illustrated through recollections of journeys to the Gulf Coast, New Jersey, and London, where feelings of belonging and nostalgia intertwined, creating a profound connection to time and place.
